Transcarpathia faces significant landslides due to waterlogging.
The first deputy head of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, Myroslav Biletsky, reports on this problem.
One of these landslides was recorded in the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve near Mount Stig and the resort of Dragobrat. Masses of earth and stones blocked the forest road. Currently, clearing is being carried out by the forces and means of the branches of the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine", the reserve and the territorial community in order to open a passage in this direction.
The road of national importance H-09 Mukachevo — Rakhiv — Bohorodchany — Ivano-Frankivsk — Rohatyn — Bibrka — Lviv was also affected. In the Rakhiv region, in the village of Lazeshchyna, part of the roadway collapsed due to the washing away of the retaining wall.
