Nothing will change in the provision of subsidies in April 2024 - everyone who has applied for it for the heating period will receive a benefit for housing and communal services.

Nothing will change in the provision of subsidies in April 2024 - everyone who has applied for it for the heating period will receive a benefit for housing and communal services.

In April, Ukrainians will continue to receive subsidies intended for the heating season, which lasts from October 2023 to April 2024 inclusive.

In general, during the current year, no changes are planned in the system of payment of subsidies, as has been repeatedly stated by the Ministry of Social Policy.

As of now, families whose utility costs exceed 15% of their total monthly income are eligible for a subsidy.

It is also important that the household does not have debts for utilities or overdue debts for more than 3 months, which exceeds 40 non-taxable minimum incomes - this is UAH 680 for all services.

An application for a subsidy is submitted to the Pension Fund, the Center for the Provision of Administrative Services or through the Diia.

Subsidy for renting housing for IDPs

Recently, the Ministry of Social Policy presented a new tool to support internally displaced persons – a subsidy for renting housing for IDPs, which they will be able to use from June 2024.

This pilot project is planned to be implemented within two years. It is currently at the stage of approval by the government.

At first, rental subsidies will be introduced only for internally displaced persons, and then it can be applied to other Ukrainians who need such support.

The amount of the subsidy for renting housing for IDPs will take into account the cost of rent in a particular region or locality of the country.
