One of the biggest problems in the region is garbage thrown away.

One of the biggest problems in the region is garbage thrown away.

It is not the first year that Transcarpathia has been trying to deal with spontaneous unauthorized landfills that appear like mushrooms after rain.

Thus, the State Environmental Inspectorate in Zakarpattia region is strengthening control over spontaneous landfills in territorial communities.

To date , there is an increase in the number of unauthorized spontaneous landfills in the Transcarpathian region, which create serious environmental problems. Such actions have a negative impact on the environment, pollute soils and groundwater, and threaten the health of residents.

In the course of measures to prevent and detect environmental violations, employees of the State Environmental Inspectorate in Zakarpattia region (hereinafter referred to as the Inspectorate) inspect the territories of territorial communities, during  which  they identify numerous unauthorized landfills.

Based on the results of the surveys, the Inspectorate prepared and sent to the addresses of territorial communities requirements that oblige them to eliminate spontaneous landfills, as well as take measures to prevent the formation of spontaneous landfills by conducting educational work and strengthening control.

We call on all residents to be responsible and follow the rules of sorting and disposal of waste, to be concerned and inform the State Environmental Inspectorate in Zakarpattia region about the revealed facts of violations, using the mobile application "EcoThreat"  and by phone (0312) 61-43-30.
