The scale of the accident will be felt all over the world.

The scale of the accident will be felt all over the world.

We are talking about the risk of a nuclear explosion on the territory of the Zaporizhzhya NPP. Last year, the situation at the station was also under threat. The danger of the worst disaster in the history of Ukraine and the whole world is only growing. This is a threat not only to the regions of Ukraine, even remote ones, but also to other countries. Therefore, you should prepare for the worst forecasts.

As the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko notes on the air of the telethon. He notes that in the event of a loss of power supply to the Zaporizhzhya NPP, an irreparable disaster may occur. The Russians can hit a generator with a drone or missile, which will destroy it.

Another Fukushima may be coming

The risk of a nuclear disaster at the ZNPP is quite high.

"I call it a step towards Fukushima. If there is no external power source, then diesel generators are turned on – they are all in working order, because Ukraine was responsible for them before," said Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko on the air of the telethon.

The operation of the generator is already a dangerous fact as such from the point of view of supply stability. In addition, fighting continues, the Russians are shooting, and an accidental hit by a drone or missile on a generator will simply destroy it.

"Accordingly, the line has already been crossed, and we are already in a situation of a nuclear incident. Even if the countries are geographically somewhere far from our war, and they think that this does not concern them, they will still feel the impact of such an accident," Galushchenko concluded.

To recap, last year the Russians seized the Zaporizhzhya NPP and mined it around the entire perimeter. The probability of a terrorist attack at the nuclear power plant by the Russians was  more than possible, because the enemy could carry out a cruel plan at any time.

What do you need to know?

In the event of an explosion at the ZNPP, the wind can carry radioactive substances over long distances. Therefore, not all products can be eaten. Ukrainians should stock up on food so that they can survive in the first days after the accident.

What will not be eaten?

Unfortunately, it will not be possible to eat anything that was outdoors.

That is, products from your own garden or vegetable garden will become unusable. In addition, it will not be possible to eat and drink everything that was in the apartment with open windows and vents or simply without lids. It will be possible to eat and drink only what is in closed containers, hermetically sealed jars, as well as in refrigerators and freezers. In addition, it is necessary to make a stock of products that will help to survive first after a nuclear accident, until the supply of water and food to citizens is established.

What do you need to stock up in case of an accident at the ZNPP?

Experts have compiled a list of recommended products:

  • Freeze-dried foods (cereals, soups, vermicelli);
  • Instant drinks in sealed packages - coffee, tea, powdered meat, fish, vegetable;
  • Packaged breads and cookies, energy bars;
  • Nuts in a pack or jars;
  • Chocolate Dried fruits Instant porridge without boiling water (buckwheat, barley, couscous, oatmeal, quinoa, semolina).

In addition, you also need to stock up on water. Water is stored at the rate of 3 liters per person for one day for drinking and cooking, as well as 10-12 liters for each for personal hygiene. In addition, you need to stock up on wet wipes and pet food. At the same time, the food must also be in sealed packages. And of course, all utensils will need to be wiped very thoroughly before use. Thanks to such measures, it is possible to minimize the impact of the consequences of the accident at the ZNPP on the human body.
