Civil defense facilities for the population continue to be put in order in the region.

As the war in Ukraine is still ongoing and the enemy continues to attack a number of settlements in the east of the country and mercilessly hit energy infrastructure and other important facilities, civil defense facilities in the regions play an important role. They are currently almost the only safe place where you can hide from numerous attacks by the ruscists.

Bomb shelters are currently almost the only safe place where you can hide from the next attacks of the ruscists.

Last year, 3900 such facilities were  set up in Ukraine, where you can wait out anxious moments during massive rocket attacks. Information about all these objects of civil protection is posted on the portal "Iron Shelter" and is available to all Ukrainians at the link: https://www.ironshelter.gov.ua/

On the official portal, you can find information about the condition of all shelters, whether they are planned to be repaired, or what has already been done. Today,  there are 61,803 shelters in the fund of protective structures of civil defense. In 2022, 3891 buildings were equipped for UAH 5.2 billion. In total, for the period 2023-2024, 7075 bomb shelters were brought to proper condition. This year, another 229 buildings were equipped.

It is known that some of the first and most prepared shelters began to work last year in the capital - Kyiv, in the Pechersk and Bologna districts. Bomb shelters All work in the buildings was carried out in compliance with state building codes. Communications have been updated and modern fire safety and ventilation systems have been installed.

Shelters continue to be set up in the westernmost region of the state - in Zakarpattia. All information on the readiness of civil defense facilities for operation can be found at the link:https://goo.gl/maps/pQhaP1dVqSZZ3qjq7

It is also known about the construction of one of the largest  facilities in the village of Osiy in the Khust region. Last year, it began to be built in the children's camp "Enchanted Valley". According to  Prozorro, 14 million hryvnias have been allocated for the construction of such a structure, Kyiv residents are building. Leonid Yemets writes about this  on Facebook.

They began to build a building of this scale as if for children.

The shelter is designed for 140 people.

But this is not yet one of the most expensive shelters in Ukraine. On March 26, the Main Department of Public Utilities of the Vyshneve City Council of the Bucha District of the Kyiv Region announced a tender for the construction of an anti-radiation shelter on the territory of the Leader Lyceum in the village of Kryukivshchyna with an expected cost of UAH 169.16 million. This is the most expensive purchase of an anti-radiation shelter in Ukraine.

The cost of the largest contracts for the construction of such shelters for educational institutions does not exceed UAH 60 million.

The design of the shelter was ordered in January from the All-Ukrainian Center for Public-Private Partnership LLC for UAH 3.54 million. According to the project, this civil defense structure will be underground. It provides premises for visitors of the educational institution and halls for staff, as well as various warehouse, engineering and technical premises that ensure the life of the structure. The shelter is designed for 1,043 people.
