Unfortunately, one of the teenagers died from injuries received during the fall.
According to rescuers, a child died as a result of a fall from a height.
"Rescuers received a message about the tragedy today at 6:24 p.m. As it turned out, outside the village of Maryanivka, Haisyn district, two teenagers fell from a height of 10 meters on the territory of an inactive granite quarry.
One of the guys managed to get out of the trap on his own. He was handed over to the emergency medical team.
Unfortunately, another 17-year-old boy died on the spot from his injuries," the statement said.
The fighters of the State Emergency Service, who arrived at the call, reached the scene of the tragedy with the help of a boat and brought the dead boy ashore.
