We are talking about draft law No. 10449, which was submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers. The parliament adopted it in the first reading and is now considering thousands of amendments.
People's Deputy of Ukraine and serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Lozynsky named the categories of men who, after the adoption of the new law, will lose the right to a deferment, writes Today.ua.
"A lot of categories have lost their deferrals. In particular, this is part of civil servants of different ranks, different structures. Representatives of law enforcement agencies, such as the State Bureau of Investigation. These decisions have now been made. This is potentially several hundred thousand people from the calculations that were voiced at the meetings of the Committee," the MP said.
Lozynsky suggested that other changes are possible, which he is not yet ready to talk about. However, we can say for sure that Ukrainians will be drafted into the army from the age of 25.
It is known that the authors of the scandalous bill planned to tie mobilization to the level of the Ukrainian's salary and the amount of taxes he pays to the budget. However, it was decided to refuse such a "reservation for money" because it violates the rights and freedoms of citizens. It turned out that the poor had to fight instead of the rich.
Roman Lozynsky called this decision absurd, and if agreed, it would create even greater inequality in our country. The deputy of the Verkhovna Rada believes that not only Ukrainians from villages and small settlements, but also those who live in cities and earn more than them should defend the state.
It is indicated that economic reservation will not affect the economy, because the relevant calculations have already been made:
"The committee did not support such a decision - a certain limit from which you have a reservation from mobilization at the expense of your salary. This decision was rejected, and I think it is the right thing to do."
