"The earth took the body, and the sky the soul": the 58-year-old Hero-Defender was led to his last earthly journey (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

Defender Yurii Pitra received a gunshot shrapnel wound, which caused the defender's death.

As you know, 58-year-old Yuri Petrovich Pitra comes from Bilki. He was mobilized almost from the first days of the Russian-Ukrainian war. On the last day of February this year, the aggressor launched an airstrike near Yunivka, where our Hero was in the war zone. Yuriy Petrovych received a gunshot shrapnel wound. He was taken to a medical facility for treatment. Relatives and friends, all acquaintances kept their fingers crossed for him and believed in the best. However, on March 8, the Hero's heart stopped beating in the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital.

"In two years, almost every second of life is on the verge. How much gray hair has been added during these days from worries and looks into the eyes of death. With the rank of captain, he fought the enemy near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, in Hlukhiv in the Sumy region, and Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region. In the Zaporizhzhia region, during an airstrike carried out by the aggressor at the end of February, Yurii Petrovych received a gunshot shrapnel wound. Doctors in several hospitals fought for his life. Unfortunately, the defender's heart stopped beating. The hope of everyone who worried, supported their relatives has faded, loved ones, sincerely believed in a miracle," the post reads .
