Due to the congenital anomaly, it is difficult for the animal to raise its head. And in order not to disturb her, journalists and those who want to read the curiosity live are not allowed to visit her.

In the US state of Louisiana, a calf was born with two faces – four eyes, two noses, mouths and ears.

The animal was named Deux Face, where "deux" means "two" in French, writes the Associated Press.

Currently, the calf is 10 days old. The owner of the farm, Don Bro , called it a miracle that it was born alive.

"It is likely that the calf will have a short lifespan and will only live a few days," Breaux noted.

According to him, most calves with polycephaly are stillborn – the probability is 1 in 400 million.

Some of these animals live for several hours or days.

Polycephaly is the result of incomplete separation of one embryo or incomplete fusion of two separate embryos. The condition is characterized by the presence of several heads.

Polycephaly is mostly found in reptiles – especially snakes and turtles.

Currently, the Deux Face calf has legs that are too weak and cannot move on its own. Due to the double face, it is difficult for the animal to raise its head.

Farm workers bottle feed it.

"Deux Face is a girl. It doesn't look like she's suffering or in pain. We are constantly watching her. She overcame many difficulties, but only time will tell her fate. We hope for the best, but we prepare for the worst," Don Breaux said.

He also added that the animal is not for sale. For the sake of the animal's peace, farmers do not allow visitors and journalists to visit it.
