It was supposed to be the first such facility in the city on the Uzh River.

It was supposed to be the first such facility in the city on the Uzh River.

On Thursday, March 7, in the regional center of Transcarpathia, on Kapitulna Street, in the Maria Theresa Square (the area opposite the Greek Catholic Cathedral of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross), the Proektna, 3 Recycling Station installed a red-painted metal heart for collecting polyethylene caps.

It was supposed to be the first such facility on the territory of Uzhgorod, Uzhhorod.info writes .

However, a short time after the appearance of a post on Facebook with photos of the installed object, its authors announced that they were dismantling the metal heart.

The reason for this was the comments of Uzhgorod residents, some of whom explained to the initiators that such unauthorized installation is illegal.

"With all my respect and support for your activities, I must note that the installation of any objects in the historical zone must be agreed with the bodies for the protection of cultural heritage. Do you have permits for this construction?" asked journalist, defender of the historical and architectural heritage of Uzhhorod Tetiana Literati.

As it turned out, the "cordial" initiators agreed on the installation of their facility only with the Mukachevo Greek Catholic Diocese, to which this territory belongs. And this is not enough.

Therefore, the heart will be dismantled and installed in another place in the manner prescribed by law.
