In the spring, many housewives do a general cleaning in the house and, of course, do not bypass the windows, which were covered with dirt during the fall and winter. This activity is not the most interesting, but knowing a few life hacks you can cope with it much faster and easier.
According to Today.ua, in order to make the windows perfectly clean, only two steps are required – preparation and direct washing. How to do it and not spend all day cleaning the glass from dust and stains?
First step
To make it easier to deal with dirt on the windows, you must first rinse them with a damp cotton cloth. This step will help collect most of the dirt, especially from the outside of the glass. It is better to start at the top and gradually work your way down. If there are stains on the glass that cannot be washed off with plain water, they can be gently rubbed with baking soda or even toothpaste, and then washed off.
Second step
Now you can proceed to further cleaning. Apply a special detergent to the glass and wipe it thoroughly with a cotton cloth or newspaper, which does not leave small particles on the surface of the windows and polishes them to a shine.
Tricks in window cleaning
As strange as it may sound, the time of day you wash your windows makes a big difference. It's best to do this either early in the morning or when it's cloudy outside. Because in the middle of the day or when the sun is shining, the detergent dries faster on the windows, complicating the process.
Some experienced housewives advise washing windows on one side of the glass horizontally, and on the other in the vertical direction. This method will help to understand in which part the contamination may have remained.
