He refused to mobilize because he "has three unofficial children": how the court punished a man

In the Lviv region, a man who categorically refused mobilization was sentenced to 3 years of probation.

He explained his actions by the fact that he is sick and "has three children who are not officially registered for him.

This is stated in the verdict of the Sambir District Court of the Lviv region, TSN writes .

According to the court, in November 2023, the Military Medical Commission recognized a resident of the Lviv region as fit for military service. He was given a summons and the man was supposed to come to the TCC in December. However, the defendant evaded mobilization.

At the trial, the man stated that he really refused to serve in the army. He stated that he allegedly had vision problems , three unregistered children from a former roommate. The man also claimed that now he has a new woman who is raising three children alone. He added that he plans to marry her in order to have a deferment from mobilization.

The court found the man guilty under Article 336 of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to 3 years of probation.

This verdict can still be appealed to the Court of Appeal.
