The SBI employees, in cooperation with the State Border Guard Service, detained a law enforcement officer in Lviv region who promised to smuggle a man of military age across the border for $9000.

This was reported by the Territorial Department of the SBI in Lviv.

A citizen of Ukraine, who permanently resides and works in Poland, turned to the employee for advice. The man wanted to know how to legally get back to Poland, because he did not think about it in advance. The border guard said that he would no longer be able to legally leave Ukraine, but for $9000 she would be able to "help" organize his transfer.

She also suggested that her husband find 3-4 more people who would like to get to Europe with him. The border guard assured that she would take the "group" by car to the border with Moldova or Poland, and assist in crossing the border.

The official made an appointment to hand over the money at the premises of the real estate agency. After receiving a bribe, the suspect was detained by law enforcement officers. The funds have been seized.
