Operatives of the criminal police of Irshava detained a resident of the village of Bilky, who was involved in drug trafficking in the district.
After carrying out a number of covert measures, the police detained the suspect immediately after handing over a package of methamphetamine to the client, the Police of Transcarpathian region reports .
At the scene, investigators seized a number of physical evidence, including money received from the sale of drugs, and the substance itself. According to Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, the drug trafficker was placed in a temporary detention center.
On the fact of drug trafficking, the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The offender faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The case is currently under investigation. Operatives are establishing a drug supply channel.
