Brutal murder in Transcarpathia: police detained the attacker (PHOTOS)

After receiving the call, the investigative and operational group of the Police Department No. 1 of the Mukachevo District Police Department and forensic specialists of the Forensic Support Department of the Main Police Department of Transcarpathia immediately left for the scene, the Police of Transcarpathian region reports .

Law enforcement officers found that four of his acquaintances were in the victim's house the day before. The men, together with the 24-year-old owner of the apartment, drank alcoholic beverages. After three of them went home, a conflict arose between the victim and the fourth guest. As a result of the conflict, the latter grabbed an ax and caused life-threatening injuries to the 24-year-old Transcarpathian.

The police seized physical evidence from the scene, including an ax with traces of blood. Also at the scene of the crime, a 20-year-old fellow villager of the deceased was found, on whose personal belongings there were traces of blood.

Forensic specialists, with the help of a device for high-speed DNA profile extraction and specialized software, established that this man was involved in the murder of the Transcarpathian.

The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and placed in a temporary detention center. His actions were qualified under Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, i.e. premeditated murder. The defendant faces up to 15 years in prison for the crime.

The investigation into the case is ongoing.
