Border guards of the Chop detachment made an important discovery during the inspection of a truck heading to the entrance to the Ukraine.
They found a gray-green substance, similar to cannabis, in the interior of a MAN car. The vehicle was driven by a 36-year-old French citizen.
A service dog trained to search for drugs was triggered during a vehicle inspection. The truck was sent for an in-depth inspection, as a result of which two bottles with a gray-green substance were found in its interior. According to external signs, the detected substance was similar to cannabis, reports the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine
Officers of the National Police were called to the scene. According to the established procedure, the "find" was seized by the investigative team. A report was sent to the Uzhgorod District Department of the National Police about the detection of signs of a criminal offense under Article 307 of the Criminal Code "Illegal production, manufacture, purchase, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues" and Article 309 of the Criminal Code "Illegal production, manufacture, purchase, storage, transportation or shipment of drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues without the purpose of sale".
