An Ivano-Frankivsk resident and a Kryvyi Rih resident, who were making their way to the border with Hungary, were found with the help of a drone.
The Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reports - the Western Border.
"After waiting for it to get dark, the men began to make their way through the bushes to the Tisza River, along which the border passes. The actions of the men were recorded by the UAV operator and sent a response team to the place of detection," the border guards informed.
The violators were detained 10 meters from the border.
"The men said that for $5,000 each, the dealers promised to take them by boat to Hungary. On the banks of the river, a rubber boat was supposed to be waiting for the "voyageurs". However, except for the border guards, no one expected them," the statement reads.
The violators were detained. To clarify all the circumstances of the offense and identify the persons involved in the organization of the illegal trip, they were taken to the border guard unit. With regard to the men, protocols on administrative offenses were drawn up under Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine", the cases were sent to court.
