In Beregovo district, a 34-year-old man killed a 47-year-old friend with a punch.

After feasts, Transcarpathians often begin to quarrel. And, unfortunately, showdowns from time to time escalate into serious fights. As a result, conflicts often end with a hospital bed, calling the police and fines.

However, an even more terrible incident happened last summer in Beregovo district. Innocent gatherings between two friends ended with the death of one of them and a prison cell for the other, writes "Carpathian Lens".

We had a fight on the terrace of the café

The events unfolded on an ordinary summer evening in the village of Novoselytsia. Ivan (the names of the characters have been replaced in the article for ethical reasons) sat in a café and rested. It was 10 p.m. The man drank alcohol carelessly and did not even suspect that this was his last night.

Meanwhile, 34-year-old Stepan spent the time of that fateful July 9 in the institution. He also drank alcohol and did not think that in a moment he would take the life of his friend.

As stated in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions, the Transcarpathian, "being in a state of alcoholic intoxication on the summer terrace of a café, without intent to unlawfully cause the death of an acquaintance, showing negligence in the form of criminal negligence, without foreseeing the occurrence of negative consequences in the form of death, on the basis of sudden hostile relations, struck one blow to the head of a friend with his right hand clenched into a fist, As a result, he lost his balance and fell on the concrete pavement."

Unfortunately, the fall had dire consequences. Ivan hit too hard and immediately lost consciousness. Although an ambulance quickly arrived at the scene, the man died in the car before reaching the hospital.

According to the conclusion of the forensic medical examination, the death of the Transcarpathian occurred due to a hemorrhage in the brain and a closed fracture of the occipital bone.

So what happened between the two villagers

What kind of black cat ran that night between the men? How did Stepan explain his actions when he was already sober? Why couldn't he control his emotions? Why did you hit an acquaintance?

In court, the man pleaded guilty and assured that he did not intend to kill his friend at all. He repented of his actions and insisted that he himself was shocked by the consequences of the outcome of that terrible story.

"That evening, my friend and I were sitting on the summer terrace in a café in our village. We talked to him, drank alcoholic beverages together," the man admitted. "Suddenly, Ivan sat down at our table. In general, he came up to us several times and drank with us. He wasn't sober either... In an instant, this made me angry and a quarrel arose between us. I punched him in the face several times. From the last blow, Ivan fell to the floor. But I didn't want him dead, I didn't want to kill him. I regret that this happened and apologize to his family."

The Transcarpathian also added that before that tragedy he had been living in recent years due to the fact that he periodically worked part-time at a construction site, he has a disability of the first group.

Nevertheless, the man was gone.

Therefore, the court found Stepan guilty of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Art. 119 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Murder committed by negligence" and sentenced to 4 years in prison.
