"Hovered in the sky and did not move": an unknown object was spotted over Ukraine (VIDEO).

The network is discussing a video filmed by the Ukrainian military over the war zone.

The Ukrainian military recorded an unknown object over the combat zone, which hovered in the sky and did not move. Presumably, it was a mirage or drones, but the footage puzzled many.

They were filmed by soldiers of the 406th battalion in February using a "thermal vision" quadcopter, writes Daily Mail. It is noted that the object was warmer than the environment, although a red "error message" on the drone's control interface leaves key details unclear.

A representative of the drone manufacturer Mavic DJI told the publication that although he cannot answer exactly, the reason for the mystery is probably an error in the equipment.

At the same time, skeptics on the network suggest that the image in the video is the phenomenon of a mirage known as "Fata Morgana". It occurs when a layer of warm air at a higher altitude and a lower layer of cold air create an "atmospheric channel" that refracts or bends light, creating airborne reflections.

"It may just be an optical illusion of filming something on a body of water," users noted.
