The US ambassador to the UK, Jane Hartley, warns that Russia will not stop if it wins the war in Ukraine.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Sky News.

At the same time, the ambassador is "optimistic" that the United States will allocate more funds for Ukraine, but "anyone who thinks that Russia can stop after that, I think, is mistaken."

"I was ambassador [to France and Monaco] in 2014 and I saw what happened in Crimea. I don't know why anyone would say, "Oh, it's all for Russia." Democracy, I think, is at stake. Therefore, we must support Ukraine," she stressed.

"We want to do everything possible to ensure that Ukraine remains a strong democracy and that Russia loses this war," the ambassador said.

The issue of assistance to Ukraine from the United States

Hartley added that "these are tough days" after being asked if she felt an atmosphere "almost comparable" to that last seen before World War II.

A bill on $60 billion in military and financial assistance to our country recently passed the Senate. But the House of Representatives refuses to consider it.

House Speaker Mike Johnson promised that the issue of assistance to Ukraine in Congress would be taken up immediately after the vote on the budget.

The chairman of the US House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs, Michael McCaul, said that the vote on aid for Ukraine will be made after the Easter holidays, which will take place at the end of March.

On the Internet, experts actively share their views on financial assistance to Ukraine.

For example, Daniil Monin writes about the "golden rain" of loans that may come to Ukraine in March, despite the fact that these loans will allow themselves to feel great without the support of the United States.

The expert summed up that over the past week in March:

1) EU: €4.5 billion – about $4.9 billion

2) Canada $1.5 billion for 10 years at 1.5% per annum

3) Japan 230 million USD. Dollars. Probably 1-2%

4) The IMF has approved and will issue UAH 880 million at 8.5% per annum

That's $7.5 billion in total.

"In addition, it is known for sure that the EU will issue another 1.5 billion euros in April. Somewhere around $1.6 billion. Thus, even if the United States does not vote on support for Ukraine in April, nothing terrible will happen in terms of the budget. At least, there is definitely money until July.
Thus, it is obvious to me that at the end of March there will probably be a new record in international reserves. Thus, Ukraine needs to pay about 700 million rubles. the body of the IMF loan.. And so we continue to give loans at 2% per annum and take new ones at 8.5% in the war of our officials.
But in general, it is still seen that reserves will increase in a month from $37.1 billion to $42 billion by the end of the month," the post reads.
