The academic year in Ukraine began on September 1, 2023 and will end on June 28, 2024. However, due to hostilities, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine decided that schools can independently set vacation schedules for students.
Regions have the right to determine their own vacation dates and form of education, depending on the security situation, Fakty ICTV writes .
When is the summer holidays 2024: start and end date
According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 782 of July 28, 2023, the school year in schools began as usual - on September 1, 2023. However, it will last a month longer – until June 28, 2024.
Summer holidays in Ukraine 2024 will begin on June 29 and will last until August 31, 2024.
Since the last bells in most schools are due to ring on May 31, certification, compensatory classes to overcome educational losses, and other activities of the educational program may continue until June 28, 2024.
