Already 79 hectares: human negligence continues to destroy the nature of Transcarpathia

Since the beginning of the year, the fire has turned 79 hectares of the former lush grass carpet into gray land, destroying dead wood.

reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Zakarpattia oblast.

Over the previous day, only in Uzhhorod, Mukachevo and Tyachiv regions, 3 hectares of the total area of dry grass burned down.

In this regard, the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region appeals to citizens to:

"Dear citizens, stop living as if we have a second planet just in case. Follow the safety rules with fire in the open area, do not burn dry grass, save Ukraine!".
