On the night of today, border guards of the "Luzhanka" department of the Mukachevo detachment detained a group of nine people who were trying to illegally enter the territory of Hungary.
Information about the intentions of the men was provided by employees of the operational and search department of the detachment, reports the Western Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The detainees turned out to be residents of Khmelnytskyi, Lviv, Donetsk, Sumy, Kyiv, Ternopil and Zakarpattia regions. For a night attempt to cross the border, each of them paid the smugglers from 8 to 12 thousand dollars.
With regard to violators, protocols were drawn up on an administrative offense under Art. 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine". Currently, the operatives of the detachment are establishing the circle of persons involved in the organization of the illegal transportation of men across the border.
