The Polish energy system received emergency aid from Ukraine: what happened

This was reported on March 2 by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

It is noted that on March 1, Poland submitted a request for emergency assistance. Ukraine provided assistance from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a total of 1540 MW per hour. The reason for Poland's request for assistance is not specified.

Currently, there is no shortage of capacities in Ukraine, there are 14 units of generating equipment of thermal power plants in reserve, including 11 units and 3 buildings of generating equipment of thermal power plants and combined heat and power plants, which will be used if necessary.

In addition, commercial exports and imports are planned per day. Electricity imports – 153 MWh, exports to Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Moldova and Hungary – up to 8779 MWh.
