Spring has arrived, which means that winter dangers are behind us, but the first spring thunderstorms can cause a lot of trouble.
"The most dangerous during a thunderstorm are lightning discharges, the temperature of which can exceed 30 thousand degrees Celsius - this is about 5 times the temperature on the surface of the Sun. On average, a lightning discharge propagates at a speed of more than 190 thousand km/s, and its length is 3-4 km. According to statistics, up to 3000 people die from lightning strikes in the world every year," the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region informed.
In this regard, Transcarpathian rescuers once again remind citizens of the rules of safe behavior in a thunderstorm.
