On March 4, at 7.20 p.m., on the highway "Lviv - Sambir - Uzhgorod" in the village of Velykyi Lyubin, the driver of a Scania truck with a semi-trailer, a 38-year-old resident of Volyn region, hit a local resident aged 61, who was crossing the carriageway outside the pedestrian crossing. The woman was hospitalized with injuries.
On the same day, at 1:30 p.m., on Stryiska Street in the city of Drohobych, the driver of a Volkswagen Golf, a 40-year-old local resident, driving in reverse, hit a 63-year-old woman, also a local resident. As a result of the collision, the victim was injured and taken to the hospital.
On March 4, at about 8:00 p.m., on the highway "Lviv - Sambir - Uzhgorod" in the city of Rudky, Sambir district, the driver of a Toyota car, a 56-year-old resident of Lviv, hit a pedestrian, a resident of one of the villages of the district, aged 53. As a result of the collision, the man was injured and taken to the hospital.
On these facts, investigators of the territorial police units opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
The police are establishing the circumstances of the incidents.
