Unusual precipitation was observed in many areas. People were frightened by the white and yellow rain that fell in a number of settlements. The social network literally "crackled" with a photo with suspicious rain, which was recorded in most settlements of the region. In particular, such rain fell in the settlements of Vynogradiv district, Svalyava region, and Khust region. White and yellow sediments were observed on highways, in puddles, cars, paths.

The substance looked like an emulsion, which alarmed the locals even more.

An eyewitness shared photos of filmed emulsion rivers with yellow sediment in Vynogradiv. According to him, this substance was quite whole and thick.

Transcarpathians began to write various guesses on Facebook about what fell in the region along with the rain. Most were inclined to believe that it was pollen of coniferous trees. Some were afraid that these were the consequences of chemical pollution, saying that something was being sprayed in the region and kept secret. Also, the consequence of such precipitation, they suggested in the comments, could be the release of sulfur on the territory of Romania, neighboring Transcarpathia.

What did the locals come up with, thinking about the photos.

On May 16, the intrigue on social networks continued.  As it turned out, such rain frightened residents of many regions of Ukraine, including residents of the Czech Republic.

The suspicious substance was eventually magnified with a microscope. Photos of the results of the work were exhibited in the National Biodiversity Network. Here they made their conclusion: this is pollen, not chemistry. It remains to figure out what type of trees the pollen belongs to, which mixed together with sand and rain and formed an unusual emulsion on roads and in puddles.

They began to write their guesses about unusual pollen under fresh photos:
