On Friday, March 29, the Ukrenergo dispatch center announced the need to apply emergency shutdown schedules for the period of the evening maximum consumption in Sumy, Poltava and Donetsk regions.
This is stated in the message of Ukrenergo in the Telegram channel.
The energy company explained this forced step by the lack of sufficient generating capacity in the system to cover consumption in certain regions of the country. The reason was the massive night attack of the aggressor state on Ukrainian power plants.
Ukrenergo recalled that emergency shutdowns have already been applied in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kirovohrad regions.
Power supply restrictions continue to apply in Kharkiv oblast and Kryvyi Rih.
Consumers in other regions are also urged to consume electricity sparingly.
