President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law to ensure the rights of military personnel and police officers to social protection. The status of persons with limited fitness for military service has also been abolished.

The official website of the parliament reports that today, April 2, the Law "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Ensuring the Rights of Military Personnel and Police Officers to Social Protection", which was registered in the Verkhovna Rada under number 10313, was signed by the President of Ukraine.

This law was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada  on March 21, 2024.

People's Deputy of Ukraine Yaroslav Zhelezniak, announcing the signing of the law, noted on Telegram that the status of persons with limited fitness for military service has been canceled.

He notes that, according to the law, men who have been recognized as partially fit for military service will have to undergo a second medical examination within 9 months.

The law provides for the possibility of military personnel being treated for up to 12 months, in particular, abroad, without the need to personally undergo a military medical commission after four months.

Zheleznyak recalled that all the provisions prohibiting the military from disseminating information in the media and the Internet had been removed before the second reading.
