In Lviv, a 29-year-old citizen who organized illegal border crossing for men of military age was exposed by law enforcement officers.
It was established that the suspect illegally entered the data of men liable for military service into one of the information systems, which gave them the right to leave Ukraine under martial law, the Police of Lviv region reports .
During the authorized search of the suspect's home, the SSU found and seized computer equipment and other material evidence confirming his involvement in the organization of illegal transportation of persons across the border of Ukraine.
Investigators served the offender a notice of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Article 332 (Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for a punishment of five to seven years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
