An incident with criminal overtones happened in the city above Latoritsa.
The Mukachevo police received a report about the hospitalization of a 33-year-old local resident in serious condition.
To establish the circumstances under which the woman was injured, officers of the Mukachevo District Police Department conducted a number of measures.
"It turned out that the woman was resting with her ex-husband that day. Subsequently, a conflict arose between the ex-spouses, as a result of which the man inflicted numerous blows on the victim," - the National Police in Transcarpathian region reported .
The police detained the suspect. He was placed in a temporary detention center. Investigators qualified the incident under Part 1 of Art. 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, i.e. Intentional grievous bodily harm.
Currently, the victim is in serious condition, doctors are trying to save her life.
The detainee faces up to 8 years in prison.
