A batch of 'goods' and ammunition were seized from the offenders

Criminal police officers together with investigators of the Police Department No. 1 of the Uzhgorod District Police Department detained a group of criminals who had established a drug distribution channel in the district.

The Police of Transcarpathian region informs

During the operation, it was established that a 27-year-old native of the village of Dubrovka, Uzhgorod district, and a 25-year-old resident of Uzhgorod were involved in the criminal activity.

"One of them, a 25-year-old resident of Uzhgorod, was caught by investigators immediately after handing over a package of methamphetamine to another client. In return, the defendant received a pre-agreed amount of money. During the arrest, the drug dealer tried to escape, but in a matter of seconds he was caught up with law enforcement officers.
At that time, investigators were conducting a court-authorized search in the home of his 27-year-old accomplice. The police seized packages with drug goods, namely marijuana and methamphetamine. In addition, ammunition for various types of weapons and 4 grenades were seized. All things will be sent to experts for research," the statement reads.

Suspects in the organization of drug trafficking, in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, were placed in a temporary detention center.

The police opened criminal proceedings on this fact under Part 2 of Art. 307 and under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. In the near future, the detainees will be notified of suspicion and a measure of restraint will be chosen.
