A traffic accident occurred in Lviv, as a result of which an 87-year-old woman was injured. This was reported by the Police of Lviv oblast.
The incident occurred on March 22 at about 18.00 on Shyroka Street. According to preliminary data, the driver of the Chevrolet Volt, a 47-year-old Lviv resident, while reversing, hit a female pedestrian. As a result of the collision, the pensioner was injured and taken to the hospital, according to the Police of the Lviv region
On the fact of the incident, investigators of the Police Department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
