Deadly maneuver: what details are known about the tragic accident in Transcarpathia (PHOTOS).

The Khust District Police Department is conducting a pre-trial investigation into the fatal accident that occurred near the village of Horinchovo. As a result of the accident, the driver died and the passenger was injured.

On March 19, at about 7 p.m., inspectors of the patrol police response sector found a car in a ditch while patrolling the Khust-Dolyna highway. An investigative team was immediately called to the scene.

Preliminary circumstances of the accident

According to preliminary data, a 47-year-old resident of the village of Gorinchovo, driving a Skoda car, lost control and drove off the roadway. As a result, the car overturned several times. The driver died at the scene from his injuries. His 46-year-old wife, who was a passenger, was hospitalized with injuries of varying severity.

Pre-trial investigation

On the fact of violation of traffic safety rules, which led to the death of a person, the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The police plan to examine the recordings from surveillance cameras from the surrounding areas and appoint expert studies to establish the circumstances of the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
