Business on conscripts: a 19-year-old boy sold the status of a father of many children to men (PHOTOS)

For a monetary reward, he planned to organize an illegal transfer for a man liable for military service, promising to produce fictitious documents on the status of a father of many children. The offender set the price of his "services" at $10,000, according to the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The organizer of the illegal scheme was detained by law enforcement officers in accordance with Art. 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure after receiving the funds. Police investigators served the suspect a notice of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 3 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code "Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine". The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by border guards of the operational and search unit of the Lviv Border Guard Detachment, officers of the Department of Strategic Investigations and investigators of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv region under the procedural supervision of Lviv Region Prosecutor's Office. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
