Brutal murder in Transcarpathia: police detained an attacker who beat a man to death (PHOTOS).

The day before, a 44-year-old Uzhgorod resident turned to the police and said that she had found her roommate on the floor at her place of residence without signs of life.

The investigative and operational group of the police and criminalists of the Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police found signs of violent death on the body of the deceased. After carrying out a number of priority measures, the circumstances of death were established, the Police of Transcarpathian region reports .

It turned out that at about 02:00 a.m. her 52-year-old roommate and 33-year-old son were in the applicant's apartment, drinking alcoholic beverages. As a result of the conflict between them, the son inflicted numerous injuries on his opponent, from which he died.

During the examination of the suspect, 2.6 ppm of alcohol was found in his blood. The offender was detained in accordance with Article 208 and placed in a temporary detention center.

Investigators of the Uzhgorod District Police Department entered this information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations with the legal qualification of Part 2 of Art. 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, i.e. Intentional grievous bodily harm that led to the death of the victim. The detainee faces up to 10 years in prison. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
