In the Tyachiv district, two violations in the field of environmental protection were detected.
The first case was recorded in the village of Dubove, the other in the village of Kalyny.
"In both cases, the truck drivers illegally transported Spruce wood. During a cursory inspection, the police found obvious discrepancies between the information provided in the documentation and the actual data. We are talking about the difference between the class of wood and the volume. Also, there were no marking tags on forest products," the report says.
An investigative team went to the scene to document. The trucks along with the timber were seized.
"Investigators of the Tyachiv District Police Department entered this information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 1 of Art. 246 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, illegal felling or illegal transportation, storage, sale of forest," the department said.
Expert research and other necessary investigative actions will be carried out in the case. The origin of the wood is established.
