Three pedestrians were injured: terrible details of an accident in the West of Ukraine (PHOTOS).

Over the past day, three pedestrians were injured in Lviv oblast. The police are establishing the circumstances of these incidents and once again urge pedestrians to follow the Traffic Rules.

On March 7, at about 3:10 p.m., a traffic accident occurred on Uhrivska Street in the city of Horodok, Lviv district. The driver of the Volvo FH500 truck, a 45-year-old resident of Lviv, ran over a 27-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Lviv district. The man was injured and taken to the hospital, according to the Police of the Lviv region.

Another accident occurred at about 5:40 p.m. on Turyansky Street in Lviv. The driver of the Mazda CX 3, a 50-year-old woman from Lviv, hit two pedestrians, 73 and 83 years old. As a result of the accident, both women were injured and taken to a medical facility.

Based on these facts, investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is up to three years of restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
