Suspicious Truck with Altered Parts Discovered in Zakarpattia (PHOTOS)

During the inspection of the Ukrainian-registered vehicle heading out of Ukraine, law enforcement officers had doubts about the legality of its movement. Therefore, the vehicle was directed for further inspection, as reported by the Western Regional Administration of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

As a result of the inspection, border guards found signs of replacement of the identification number of the "Maisonneuve" trailer. Police officers were called to the scene.

Notification of the discovery of signs of a criminal offense, provided for in Article 290 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("Destruction, Forgery or Replacement of Numbers of Vehicle Units and Assemblies"), was sent to the Uzhhorod Regional Directorate of the National Police of the Zakarpattia region.

The protocol of the inspection of the "Maisonneuve" trailer's scene was seized by the investigative-operational group of the National Police. Further investigation is ongoing.
